A Match Made in Heaven

At least once a day I have the thought, "I should blog that!"

Yet, its been weeks since my last update. SO much is happening and changing and I don't want to forget what is going on right now, and believe it or not, the whole purpose of my blog is for me (and my girls, someday) to be able to go back and read it and remember.

I try very hard to be chronological with my entries, but today I am going to skip three weeks - very important weeks - and talk about how things sometimes just work out. I will go back to the missing three weeks soon, I promise!

Also, I don't have any pictures to go with this - sorry!

We have lived in Panama City twice already and have many friends who have lived here for longer periods of time than we have, so upon moving, I had a lot of gouge about the important things like preschool, gymnastics, dance lessons, dentists, and where to live - in relation to Target.

We loved Hailey's preschool in VA - honestly it was the hardest thing for us to leave behind, but there is a very highly recommended preschool in Panama City that is conveniently located right by our new house. Unfortunately they had no room for our Hailey, but from their website I discovered another school that they share extracurricular activities with and contacted that schools director to see if they had any room. They had a child scheduled to move out of the K3 class TWO DAYS before I needed Hailey to start. In emailing with the preschool director I said that it almost seemed meant to be, and she replied that it is a match made in heaven. And so, Hailey is now enrolled at and attending Covenant Christian School.

When I was a child we did not attend church, and since being married, Jon and I have sporadically attended random church's along the way, but never regularly. I have only a basic knowledge of the bible and I always feel like I need to hide that little detail from my friends because it makes me feel less. I certainly do not want my daughters to grow up without a foundation and so our plan was to attend the church that Hailey's preschool was part of in VA, but right after her school year started we found out we were moving, so that never happened (excuses, I know). And so now we are in FL and through a series of events that re-affirms my belief that things happen for a reason, Hailey now attends a christian school and has come home each day so far and told me something I didn't know.

She is a true Air Force kid now - changing schools in mid year and she is only three. She handled it so well, and has already made two little friends. She did get sent home the first day, but that was my fault - she had been sick and was fever free when she woke up that morning, but had a 102 temp by 10 am. I was THAT MOM on her very first day - awesome :( But other than that, she has been excited when we get there and excited when I pick her up. She also gets to take a ballet class once a week after preschool, and that is by far her favorite part of Florida. She told Jon that she wants to live her "forebber"!

Another strange coincidence that is related to this story, the preschool director is married to the dentist that I waited till we moved to FL to go to, as he was so highly recommended by our trusty friends the Kassebaum's.
